ELEKTRO GUZZI are Bernhard Hammer, Jakob Schneidewind and Bernhard Breuer of the Vienna-based analogue techno act. The trio's unique approach to techno consists of live performances with a setup of heavily modified bass and electric guitars as well as acoustic drums. The result is astonishing in that the sound remains true to its techno origins yet the means of production are so foreign to the genre.
The band joined forces in 2004 and after 5 years of practice and experimentation finally entered the studio to record. Eversince, the trio has toured Japan and has performed at Barcelona's Sonar festival, London's Fabric club and the epic Berghain in Berlin.

The performances of Elektro Guzzi are 100% live as they do not use pre-recorded or sequenced material. Their analogue techno and minimal sounds are all produced with their instruments and that's what makes us want to listen, watch and dance. Their latest album was released by Macro Recordings and a new release is coming soon on the same label. More info and some videos after the jump.
