Evian Christ - "Fuck it none of y'all don't rap"

Came across this ill beat by anonymous producer (Evian Christ) via Dummy.  The mysterious Evian uploaded a whole bunch of tracks on a youtube channel and all of them are actually superb.  We would agree with Dummy in that the vibe here is Clams Casino gone footwork, though it sounds like Evian is more into crystal clear textures rather than distorted soundscapes.  Listen to highlight "Fuck it non of y'all don't rap below":  

Stream: Aeroc - R+B=? LP

There was a time when finding a decent chill electronic album was as easy as walking into any European commercial music store and picking one of the establishment's top ten CDs.  Since the early 00s it's gotten increasingly more difficult to find a long player with a chill aesthetic, pristine production and good songs from beginning to end.  Aeroc's "R+B=?" LP out today on Ghostly International has accomplished just that.  With a minimal and sometimes organic sound palette, rhythms ranging from hip-hop to techno and the elegant addition of guitar, Aeroc combines many influences to forge a sound that builds on the chill of the early 00s, the melodies of Morr Music, Berlin techno and French minimal.  Sit back, relax and stream the entire album below:

Update: Darkside (Nicolas Jaar & D. Harrington) - self-titled EP

Early this month we posted our favorite Nicolas Jaar track yet featured in his free give away EP "Don't Break my Love" released on his own label Clown & Sunset (go to our post where you can still download it for free).  Darkside is Jaar's new collaborative side-project with guitarist Dave Harrington, which will be releasing a self-titled EP on the same label.  We're already impressed by the stripped back organic guitar licks combined with Jaar's minimal aesthetic evident on opening track "A1" which you can stream below. Mr Scruff - "Feel It!/Bounce" 12"

Absolutely loving this self-professed "low slung dusty bump house" release by Mr Scruff, which is not too far removed from his other recent 12" Wobble Control, the video for which we posted recently.  "Feel it!" is a curious chirpy little track with vocal snippets that range from 90 house diva material to pitched-up chops that might have fitted well on a Metalheadz track of that decade, while "Bounce" does what it says very well.  Enjoy both below or order the 12" over at the Ninja Tune store here:
