SBTRKT - "Terminal"

More new music from the masked producer this time in the form of this minimal track entitled "Terminal".  The tracks that have been surfacing on SBTRKT's soundcloud page since the release of his self-titled LP do not feature those signature vocals yet their sound remains true to the magic that he delivered on his debut full length. Enjoy "Terminal" below:

The XX - Angels (Four Tet remix)

Four Tet gets his hand dirty once more with yet another remix for The XX.  The first time around, Four Tet delivered a remix of  "VCR" from the trio's debut album. This time Four Tet has sprinkled his production magic on Coexist opener "Angels".  The remixes could not be any more different from each other, as the first was a near dancefloor shuffle banger, while the "Angels" rework offers up a mere atmospheric shift with barely audible hints of percussion (we think we hear a couple of faint claps at some points and a kick definitely shows up late in the track). Four Tet doesn't exactly take this track to new territory but he does make it his own, demonstrating the subtle similarities between the artists' work in terms of sense of space and atmospherics.  Listen to it below:

Stay+ - "Crashed"

We've been following Machester based duo Stay+ for a while now and there's no denying their sound is evolving into something quite special. Their latest track to see the light of blog is definitely a testament to this. "Crashed" combines rave anthem vocals with catchy degraded trancy stabs that almost make this sound like an Avici track that you can listen to guilt-free.

Vessel - "Stillborn Dub"

Listen to the latest track to see the light of blog from Tri Angle's Vessel to be feature on his forthcoming LP Order of Noise releasing on October 15th.  The track is entitled "Stillborn Dub" but we think it sounds more like alien-church-dub.  Listen to it below:

Watch: Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes (Short Film Album Preview)

You've probably heard that Flying Lotus will be releasing his next album Until The Quiet Comes on October 1st of this year but you probably haven't heard much music from this fothcoming LP yet (other than "See Thru to U", which features Erykah Badu).  The eponymous short film directed by Kahlil Joseph teases a few more tracks from the album and offers up some rather atmospheric visuals to go along with them.  For more details on the tracks and pre-orders release formats head over here.  You can watch the Until The Quiet Comes short film below:

Download: D/R/U/G/S - Amphibian EP

Mancunian producer D/R/U/G/S' sound is difficult to pigeonhole in terms of genre, yet one can definitely pin point some recurring themes.  For one he does not shy away from the buzzier side of synth textures, which are often complimented by deep ambient pads. He also places a lot of emphasis on melodies and manages to deliver unique manipulations of vocal snippets, a trick that many electronic producers resort to these days yet fail to do so creatively.  All of the above holds up on the three track EP that he is offering up for free in exchange for your e-mail (fill in the widget below for your own copy).  Opening track "Hemisphere" is a definite highlight and the froggy bassline could easily be the inspiration for the EP's title. Also noteworthy is the third track, "Ring of Endless Light" that sounds a bit like something FSOL would have produced in 2012.  If you're interested in catching D/R/U/G/S and you reside in the UK, check out the details of his tour with Delphic here.
