On today's triplet of new goodies from the classic electronic music label we will not be discussing the rumors regarding a new Boards of Canada double album. Instead we will talk about Squarepusher's upcoming album details and live show, Clark's latest tune off his upcoming LP and the Battles' remix album.

Squarepusher has disappeared for while (no shocker there) since his latest project with Shoebaleader One. We're extremely excited to hear that he's back with a new album entitled "Ufabulum" releasing in mid-May, which according the the man himself will be pure electronic (no bass guitar? doubt it), melodic and aggressive. We're also glad that the Daft Punkesque mask he dawned on his previous collaborative project is still around. Listen to a tiny snippet of what's to come below. Up next is the latest track to appear from Clark's upcoming LP "Iradelphic". We've already posted another album track "Com Touch", and now you can listen "The Pining Pt 2" below as well. This track is still heavy in the beat section, yet the song is even more melodic with vocal elements that are introduced in this way for the first time on a Clark track:

Lone's "Crystal Caverns 1991" constitutes another new direction in the ever-morphing sound of the R&S artist. While recent releases and his DJ sets have been hinting at a newfound love for an old school rave anthem aesthetic and his previous LP "Emerald City Tracks" had such element peaking under the thick gauze of technicolor BoCeqsue atmospheres, this track off his upcoming LP "Galaxy Garden" (on the 5th of July on R&S) doesn't hold back on this theme in the least. As you've probably already heard, Burial's brand new EP Kindred is out in digital form only and available to preview and order over at the Hyperdub wesbite. We'd already given you a sneak peak at EP track "Ashtray Wasp" and along with the title track and the other B-side "Loner" the EP shows Burial resorting to his signature sound palette and sample base, yet he's definately trying something new here in terms of melody and structure. As with any new Burial EP, all the songs here are meticulously crafted and deserve your attention. Can't wait for the vinyl release.

The UK duo Bent always held a special place in our heart. While their albums sold well in the mainstream market during the chill-explosion of the later 90s and early 00s (and even got name checked by the likes of Sir Michael Caine, Nicole Kidman and Gerard Butler), their music was grossly overlooked by electronic music purists. Today it is clear that many sample-based downtempo, balearic and even chillwave producers owe a great deal to the sound pioneered by Bent. While may of their contemporaries struggled to release picture perfect, squeaky-clean digital chill anthems, Bent used analogue equipment, dusty vinyl samples and a lo-fi aesthetic to create a truly unique sound that was both anchored in their time as well as forward thinking. They could be described as a more poppy Boards of Canada, a vintage Air France or a more minimal Avalanches. A couple of months ago the band unveiled some unreleased songs from 1998 on their soundcloud page. We've selected our two favorite below. Here's hoping there's something new in the books too.

First up is the news related to Evian Christ. With lots of buzz surrounding his music and little or no information surrounding his name, it was with a sigh of relief that the internet welcomed the outting of the man behind the Evian Christ monicker. It turns out that 22 year old Londoner Joshua Leary has been making these beats and our favorite record label right now, Tri Angle has also taken notice by making him their latest addition to their roster. Until an official release on the imprint you can download the excellent "Kings and Them Mixtape" here which compiles all the tracks this young producer has been uploading on his youtube account in high quality.

Next up is a track off the forthcoming oOoOO EP Our Love is Hurting Us which you can stream below or download here (via Stereogum). The track is entitled "No Way Back" and features Butterclock. This isn't the first time the two team up as they have previously covered a Rick Ross track together, which you can listen to here.

We're happy to announce that the legendary Mark Van Hoen will be releasing his his fifth solo album "The Revenant Diary" this time on Editions Mego records. The founding member of Seefeel, mastermind behind Locust and Slowdive collaborator knows how to make noise. His distinct sound is based around his mastery of tone, detail, harmonics and melody...a celebration of the potential of electronic music and an accomplishment in sound scultping. According to the press release the basis of this album was recorded on "4-track tape, using a minimal set-up, reminiscent of his first early '80s musical adventures as a young teenager." Aside from fans of the aforementioned projects, this is also music for fans of Boards of Canada, Bibio, The Field, The Orb etc. As you can tell by the preview below this is bound to be one of the albums to look out for in 2012. We can't wait.

Marcel Dettmann's brand new Landscape EP is out this month on the Belgian label Music Man Records (which also released his Conducted mix) featuring a remix by Red Cup favorite Answer Code Request. Dettman's Landscape is surprisingly delicate affair in relation to the rest of his work with phased tin percussion, ambient pad washes and a single female vocal snippet driving the track to its conclusion. The highlight here is Answer Code Request's remix who keeps the pads intact, pitches down the vocals and adds his characteristic heavy percussion.

Although Clark has stated that he's going for a completely new sound, we can't help but notice that while "Com Touch" is certainly different to his last few releases on Warp, it sounds like a throwback to his earlier melodic work which is a welcome change in our book. Planet μ is one of our favorite record labels here at Red Cup with some strong releases in 2011 such as new material from Keep Shelly in Athens, Kuedo and Ital Tek. That being said, it's high time we gave the imprint the ol' double post treatment.

First up is one of the label's latest signing Ital (not to be confused with aforementioned label mate Ital Tek). We've already posted an earlier non-Planet μ release of this artist's work which we were particularly fond of. With growing buzz around his name, the label finally revealed a sneak peak into what we can expect from his debut LP Hive Mind releasing in February and boy are we excited. Listen to the jittery ADD album opener cheekily entitled "Doesn't Matter (if you love him)" below:

Next up is label head and electronic music legend Mike Paradinas' (aka μ-ziq) set for the Boileroom. The mix is filled to the brim with top notch footwork tracks, a genre he's responsible for bringing to the masses and to electronic music's sub-conscious (just listen to the footwork influence on tracks by Kuedo, Machinedrum and Evian Christ). If you've read or heard an Anstam interview (rare as they are) then you know as well as we do that this isn't your ordinary guy. If you've heard his music, you'll also know this isn't your ordinary Berlin based producer. Anstam who has previously released work on Modeselektor's 50 Weapons, including his Dispel Dances LP and offered up 2 excellent remixes of Radioheads TKOL remix compilation (here's 1 and 2) just posted this wonderfully strange track on his soundcloud page. The sense of dread and uneasiness combined with a wide eyed insatiable curiosity seems to be omnipresent in his work and it definitely rears its head in "Born and Raised (Version)".
